**Job Summary**

The Senior Fundraising Specialist will be a proven professional with a broad range of fundraising experience, including major gifts, annual and monthly giving, sponsorship, donor stewardship, donor cultivation, and project management.

  • *Key job accountabilities include but are not limited to**:
  • *1. **Donor Acquisition/Tele-Sales**

- Engage in value-based selling, furthering the charity relationship with potential donors and ensuring the success of key fundraising campaigns

- Identify and secure donations, corporate gifts, partnerships, and sponsorships that align with Villa Charities’ brand and corporate objectives

- Engage in continuous research to identify new donors for all fundraising efforts

  • *2. **Appeals & Special Projects**

- Work cross-functionally and with senior leadership to review the feasibility of a capital campaign, develop campaign strategy, and set campaign targets/goals

- Plan and run campaign steering committee meetings, as needed

- Through the development of data criteria, ensure campaigns are properly tracked and measured

- Coordinate the production process between the creative, content development and direct response vendors, ensuring timely execution

- Gather relevant content, ensuring appropriate consent from key stakeholders

  • *3. **Database Management**

- Ensure the CRM software is properly maintained, and donor records are accurate, complete and up to date in the donor database, contacting the donor if necessary for missing information

- Set up campaigns and appeals with all relevant performance tracking codes as

required to support the measurement of fundraising plans

  • *4. **Sponsorships & Events**

- Solicit new event sponsors and cultivate relationships with returning sponsors

- Draft and execute agreements and contracts with sponsors and partners

- Assist with Foundation events and initiatives, as required

  • *Desired Qualifications**

- Minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably working in the healthcare or cultural sectors

- Sales experience an asset

- Proven fundraising success with special projects, major donors, and corporate sponsors

- Ability to seek out and implement innovative fundraising and sales strategies

- Superior oral and written communication skills

- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and fundraising software platforms (Raiser’s Edge)

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and cultivate partnerships

- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders and represent the organization in a variety of settings

- Excellent collaborative and process-management experience in a team-oriented environment

- Proficiency in Italian and knowledge of the Italian Canadian community is desirable

  • *Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

- North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

  • *Experience**:

- Fundraising: 3 years (required)

- Cultural/Healthcare: 2 years (preferred)
