The Operations Division supports the Toronto Community Housing vision and mission through nurturing revitalized communities and tenants by providing programs, services and partnerships aimed at the needs of children and youth, working families, under‑employed youth, seniors and other vulnerable tenant populations. The Division does this through tenant engagement, accessing services and spaces, integrating healthy communities, providing supports for seniors and vulnerable tenants, economic development programs and corporate sponsor ships/partnerships.
We are hiring 1 Tenant and Community Services Program Coordinator to support our Program Development and Evaluation initiatives planned for 2025 and beyond such as 'Midnight Basketball', "League of HER Own", 'Kickstart' and other programs as assigned.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Programs Supports & Implementation, the Tenant and Community Services Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing and supervising the respective assigned recreational, economic development and engagement programs while ensuring the appropriate use of resources and systems to deliver effective programming. The position will liaise with other staff and community partners to ensure the smooth running of programs.
What you’ll do Staff Management
- Support, coach and develop staff team to meet program deliverables
- Supervise staff, including monitoring and addressing performance
- Schedule staff, including approving time off ensuring proper program coverage
Program Coordination and Implementation
- Coordinate activities needed to implement program plans while maintaining high standards of service excellence
- Support the implementation of Tenant and Community Services programs and all other programs in the CED team evaluations
- Facilitate program evaluations
Program Development and Evaluation
- Support the development and implementation of data collection tools and tracking systems
- Work with Supervisor, Program Supports and Implementation to identify and coordinate training logistics for program staff
- Support the development of the centralized work planning for programs with regional teams
- Support partnerships and participate in the joint service planning in collaboration with Supervisor's
- Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders such as the City of Toronto, Jays Care Foundation and MLSE
- Support Supervisor, Program Supports and Implementation by providing input into the centralized program planning, development, delivery and evaluation process to ensure that program outcomes are being met
