Senior Fundraising Professional Legacy Giving

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Professional Legacy Giving to join our team at Summit Search Group. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, with a focus on legacy giving. They will be responsible for developing and implementing legacy giving strategies, building relationships with donors and prospects, and maintaining accurate donor records.

The Senior Fundraising Professional Legacy Giving will play a key role in advancing the growth and success of the Legacy Giving program. This involves analyzing legacy giving prospects, identifying and qualifying potential donors, and developing strategies to secure legacy gifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement legacy giving strategies
• Build and foster relationships with donors and prospects
• Identify and qualify potential legacy giving donors
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records
• Stay current on planned giving trends, best practices, changing legislation, and tax implications of major and legacy giving

Requirements:

• University degree or diploma
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, with demonstrated success in cultivating and securing major and/or legacy gifts
• Strong understanding of Canadian legacy fundraising best practices, compliance, and tax implications
• Experience with data management and donor databases, including Raiser's Edge
