Charity Fundraiser – Nonprofit Campaigns – $20–$28/hr
Public Outreach Consultancy Inc
Job Location
Vancouver, BC (In-person with some flexible scheduling options)
Job Type
Full-time
Join a mission-driven team fundraising for leading nonprofit organizations focused on environmental protection, humanitarian aid, and social justice. Whether you’re building your career or looking for flexible work with meaning, we have a spot for you.
Actors, performers, and outgoing personalities thrive in this role! Whether you're a natural-born communicator, a theatre kid turned people-person, a gym enthusiast chasing the next goal, or someone who cares deeply, we want to meet you.
We’re a fundraising consultancy working face-to-face and door-to-door to raise long-term support for incredible humanitarian and environmental charities. And right now, we’re hiring two kinds of people:
- Fundraisers: The everyday heroes who love meaningful conversations, connect quickly with others and are ready to hit the streets, malls, or doors to inspire action.
- Leaders: Fundraisers with experience, drive, and leadership skills who are ready to take on more, helping guide and support teams while fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent trusted nonprofit organizations in public spaces (e.g. parks, campuses, events, neighbourhoods)
- This is tough work. We meet the people where they’re at (knocking on doors, sparking conversations in the streets, airports or malls).
- Inspire monthly donors to support life-changing campaigns
- Achieve daily and weekly fundraising goals
- Collaborate in a supportive and fun team environment
You’d Be a Great Fit If You
- 18+ and authorized to work in Canada
- Able to reliably commute to shifts (if you drive, carpooling with your team is a bonus!)
- Have been told you're an engaging conversationalist who possesses charm and is the BEST listener.
- Light curiosity in others; we’re trying to get folks engaged in the world around them and know that they have the ability to make a difference, one conversation at a time.
- Comfortable working on your feet for long stretches of time and aren’t afraid of stairs, traffic, crowds and the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city
- Ready to represent our charity partners professionally
- Serious about personal growth, team success, and social change
- Outgoing, empathetic, and persuasive
- Excited by performance-based roles and friendly competition
- A proven leader—or ready to become one through hard work and action
- Are passionate about causes like climate action, clean water, refugee aid, or social justice
- A great communicator (improv, theatre, D&D champs do well here!)
Compensation & Perks
- Starting wage: $20/hour
- Leadership fast-track: $23–28/hour for experienced or promoted leaders
- Guaranteed hourly base pay (not commission-based)
- Flexible schedule – both full-time and part-time shifts available
- Paid training and ongoing skill development
- Opportunities for promotion and leadership roles
- Work with a team of like-minded changemakers
- Real impact through partnerships with frontline charities
- Diverse and inclusive team culture
