Account Strategist – Nonprofit Direct Mail

We’re seeking a Account Strategist to oversee a portfolio of nonprofit clients, focusing on providing valuable insights, growing accounts, maximizing retention, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who blends customer-centricity with a sales mindset —someone who’s motivated by hitting goals and earning performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Own a book of nonprofit clients and serve as their primary point of contact, from onboarding to post-campaign check-ins and every step in between.
• Build strong, consultative relationships to understand client fundraising goals and grow account value over time by providing strategic insights and direct mail campaign planning.
• Work closely with internal teams (design, pre-production, and production) to ensure flawless execution of direct mail campaigns.
• Proactively identify opportunities to expand client engagement and grow the book of business.
• Monitor project timelines, communicate updates, and ensure campaign milestones are met.
• Track performance metrics and report on client success, renewals, and growth.
• Respond quickly and effectively to client inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

• Familiarity with direct mail, marketing, or fundraising campaigns.
• Proven experience in account management, client services, or sales - ideally with nonprofit or fundraising clients - is a major asset
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple accounts and timelines.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning proprietary and third-party tools.
• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to earn bonuses based on performance.
• Experience with tools like Microsoft Excel and basic design platforms is a plus.

Compensation range: Base salary (60k - 90k) + performance-based bonuses.
