Good Beginnings is a non-profit child care organization established in 1986. We offer Special Needs Resourcing Service in Oxford County since 1987.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, energetic and engaged individual to fill this position. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Current Member in good standing with College of Early Childhood Educators
• Early Childhood Resource Consulting certification or equivalent

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working with children 0-12 years of age with diverse needs, families, and communities in early learning environments.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Work collaboratively with families and educators to develop an Individualized Support Plan that reflects their priorities and choices.
• Provide support to families by assisting with accessing community resources, linkage to family networks, modelling and/or family education.
• Effectively communicate with families, educators and community partners to monitor the Individualized Support Plan.
• Promote one coordinated plan to align the work of multiple services to contribute to a seamless experience for families.
• Assist families with various transitions, including the transition to elementary school settings.
• Provide coaching, role modeling, and mentorship to early learning environments.
• B uid capacity through providing professional learning opportunities to the community at large.
• Develop/Present professional learning reflective of family and community current needs.

Requirements

• Demonstrate proficiency in word processing and electronic data management systems.
• Maintain efficient time management skills, including maintaining your own schedule and competing priorities.
• Familiarity with the following curriculum/resources: How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years; Child Care and Early Years Act; Emergent Curriculum; Play Based Learning; Universal Design for Learning.
