Vice-President, Research & Scientific Engagement

The Company is seeking a Vice-President, Research & Scientific Engagement to lead its mission of connecting and empowering the MS community through high-quality research. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a national and global portfolio that supports the organization's research enterprise, knowledge mobilization, and mission. This role involves contributing thought leadership to global initiatives, managing research strategies, granting processes, and day-to-day operations of the research team. The Vice-President will also serve as a key spokesperson for the organization's research agenda, ensuring the inclusion of patient voices, and will be a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, setting priorities and strategies for research decisions.

Candidates for the Vice-President position must hold an earned doctorate (PhD) in a relevant field and have a proven track record of scholarship, service, and senior leadership experience. The role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to engage with scientific researchers, clinicians, and the broader MS community, and a deep commitment to supporting Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA). The ideal candidate will be a respected executive and scientific researcher, known for their collaboration, responsiveness, and team-building abilities. The position demands the flexibility to travel nationally and globally and the capacity to earn the credibility and trust of peers in a research-intensive health charity.
