Program Manager – Nonprofit Technology & Social Impact (Volunteer - Unpaid)

About the Project
Project GÉNESIS, led by Living Stones Foundation, is a social innovation and technology initiative designed to transform the freight and moving transportation sector in Latin America.
Through a community-based digital platform, GÉNESIS promotes labor formalization, digital inclusion, and environmental sustainability, empowering independent drivers, small businesses, and underserved communities.
This initiative integrates technology, social purpose, and sustainability into a scalable regional model, with potential funding from international cooperation programs, green bonds, and impact investment funds.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to lead the strategic and operational execution of the GÉNESIS Project during its design, pilot, and regional expansion phases.
This role requires coordinating cross-functional teams (technology, design, sustainability, and partnerships), managing deliverables, and ensuring alignment between the project’s social mission and its technical and economic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the project roadmap (MVP, pilot, and expansion).
- Oversee the development of the digital platform and mobile app, ensuring integration of smart routing, geolocation, and collaborative service features.
- Coordinate with technical teams, international volunteers, and partner institutions.
- Supervise UX/UI design, analytics integration, and product testing.
- Manage impact measurement, budget tracking, and performance reporting.
- Identify and develop opportunities for international funding and technical cooperation (USAID, IDB Lab, Global Affairs Canada, etc.).
- Present progress updates, dashboards, and strategic reports to stakeholders.
- Foster an innovative, purpose-driven culture across all teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in tech, social innovation, or sustainability initiatives.
- Expected availability: around 20 hrs/week
- Familiarity with mobile app development processes (Android/iOS) and MVP coordination with agile teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Trello).
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary and international teams (developers, designers, analysts, community leads).
- Interest or experience in social entrepreneurship, collaborative economy, or sustainable mobility.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- English: Intermediate to Advanced level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international cooperation projects or impact investment programs.
- Basic understanding of Big Data, AI, or SaaS platforms applied to social or environmental impact.
- Knowledge or background in sustainability, urban development, or circular economy.
