About the ICE Society

The Inspiring Children to Empowerment (ICE) Society uses the power of hockey to foster healing and growth for children and youth in the Greater Victoria area who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, or loss. We eliminate barriers to participation by providing registration fees, equipment, mentorship, and a vital community support system. Join us in making a profound difference—getting kids off the sidelines and onto the ice!

Develop, write, and submit persuasive, well-researched grant proposals and applications.

Manage a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission and follow-up reporting.

Fundraising Support

Assist the Board with planning and implementing small-scale digital and community-based fundraising campaigns.

Help research and compile data on potential corporate and foundation prospects.

Database Management

What You Bring

Demonstrated experience in grant writing and securing funding for non-profit organizations (essential).

Excellent proficiency in written communication, with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, managing tasks and deadlines effectively with minimal supervision.

A strong alignment with the mission of the ICE Society and a passion for supporting youth in need.

Commitment

We request a minimum commitment of six months. The time is flexible, but reliability in meeting critical deadlines is paramount.
