YOUR NEW ROLE

The Sector Capacity Services Manager plays a key role in shaping and delivering BCNPHA’s new sector capacity services business area, focused on expanding supports for the non-profit housing sector. This position leads the design and implementation of innovative support services for non-profit housing providers, explores new revenue models for BCNPHA, and contributes to strategic planning to ensure the sustainability and growth of sector operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Lead the development and implementation of new support services for non-profit housing providers to strengthen operational sustainability and enable sector growth in alignment with BCNPHA’s strategic plan.

· Collaborate with the Director to define the scope, priorities, and structure of the new Sector Capacity Services team.

· Design and manage pilot initiatives, including evaluation frameworks and stakeholder engagement strategies.

· Conduct market research and feasibility assessments to identify potential fee-for-service offerings and other revenue-generating opportunities.

· Design, launch, and refine sector support services, including outreach and engagement strategies to build a sustainable client base and ensure service uptake.

· Coordinate cross-functional project teams and working groups to ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.

· Develop business plans, proposals, and presentations to support internal decision-making and external partnerships.

· Work in collaboration with the policy team to monitor sector trends, policy developments, and emerging needs to inform program design and continuous improvement.

· Work in collaboration with the education team to identify, design, and support delivery of new sector training opportunities.

· Build and maintain relationships with housing providers, sector partners, and funders to support collaborative service delivery.

· Prepare reports, dashboards, and communications materials to share progress, outcomes, and impact with internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education Requirements

Must Have

· Post-secondary degree in business administration, non-profit administration, public policy, social sciences, or a related field.

Nice to Have

· Graduate degree or post-graduate certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, MPA, MUP) is an asset.

· Project management certification.

Experience Requirements

Must Have

· Minimum 5 years of experience in program or service development, strategic planning, or business operations.

· Demonstrated experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have

· An understanding of the housing system and the community housing sector is a strong asset.

· Experience working with other mission-driven organizations and/or member-based organizations.

· Experience developing accessible tools/templates/resources for organizations.

· Experience developing and implementing fee-for-service models or social enterprise initiatives.

Technical skill requirements

Must Have

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Experience with project management tools and data analysis platforms.

Nice to Have

· Familiarity with CRM systems, data visualization tools, or financial modeling software.

Soft Skill Requirements

Must Have

· Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to assess sector needs and design effective solutions.

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare compelling reports and presentations.

· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

· Demonstrated relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work collaboratively across the organization to set and deliver on mutual strategic goals.

Nice to Have

· Change management experience, particularly in launching new programs or departments.

· Comfort navigating ambiguity and shaping new business areas.

The salary range for this position is $80,400 to $100,500, and it will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

· Flexible work schedules involving the occasional evening/weekend work due to participation in project events.

· Some travel throughout British Columbia required.
