The BC lymphedema Association's vision is that patients with lymphatic disorders will have: medical access to early diagnosis, treatment (including compression) and education in all B.C. Health Regions.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role for a Board Treasurer, and it is fully remote. The Board Treasurer will oversee the financial management of the organization, including managing budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing regular financial reports to the board. The volunteer will also participate in board meetings, collaborate with other board members, and support fundraising efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Financial management and accounting expertise, including budgeting and financial reporting
- Knowledge of non-profit organization financial practices and regulatory compliance
- Experience with strategic planning and long-term financial decision-making
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to commit time for board meetings, financial oversight, and related responsibilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team
- Previous non-profit board experience and familiarity with fundraising strategies or lymphedema are a plus
- Must be a B.C. Resident
